Yahoo clsoing peoples email accounts?

I recieved this in my eamil %26amp; want to know if it is true.

Dear YAHOO User,

%26gt;

%26gt; Because of the sudden rush of people

%26gt; signing up to YAHOO, it has come to our attention

%26gt; that we are vastly running out of resources. So,

%26gt; within a month's time,anyone who does not receive

%26gt; this email with the exact subject heading,will be

%26gt; deleted off our server. Please forward this email so

%26gt; that we know you are still using this account.

%26gt; We want to find out which users are

%26gt; actually using their YAHOO accounts. So if you are

%26gt; using your account, please pass this e-mail to every

%26gt; YAHOO user that you can and IF YOU DO NOT PASS this

%26gt; letter to anyone we will delete your account.

%26gt;

%26gt; From Mr. ALLEN SMITH

%26gt; YAHOO Admin. Dept.

%26gt;

%26gt; Our YAHOO system is getting to crowded!! We need

%26gt; you to forward this to at least 20 people. I know

%26gt; this seems like a large number, but we need to find

%26gt; out who is really using their account. If you do not

%26gt; send this to at least 10 YAHOO members, we will

%26gt; delete your account. Sorry for this inconvenience.

%26gt; Sincerely, Director of YAHOO Services

%26gt; BOB LOPEZ

Yahoo clsoing peoples email accounts?
fake
Reply:Im sure its a fake.

forward the whole email to spoof@yahoo.com
Reply:This is fake - it has been going around Yahoo for years now. Like someone else mentioned, why would Yahoo ask anyone to forward it to all their friends when they have the ability to mass email all their clients.

Hope this helps.
Reply:This doesn't sound like something Yahoo would do. I would be wary that this is a scam and not really coming from Yahoo. Hopefully a Yahoo official can answer this question.
Reply:right

some people have many emails and some other had an old email and they don't use any more

so these people will not forward the email in a month and there email will be deleted and some other might have it

but you don't have to be afraid, just forward that email and they won't delete you account
Reply:its nothing but a big fraud work by some anti-social elements.. who want2 create panic in yahoo's esteemed customers...

i say 100% its fake... pure lie... as u (we) know yahoo is such a big company and has so much online advertisers so it has no financial loss...

so u can b relax.. and continue vth our yahoo.com joyfully...

Reply:i been getting those for years %26amp; mine was never closed
Reply:Sounds like a SCAM to me. Better check you system and see if this FAKE mail contained a virus, worm or spyware....... Good Luck
Reply:It's oviously fake. Why would yahoo ask you to foward an email to 20 people? They have the ability to send a mass email to every account they have. They wouldn't want you to send the emails to other people because there's the possibility of people getting multiple emails in their box.
