Is Yahoo messenger is conducting any "Yahoo Internet Lottery"? I have received the following letter, shall I?
Sorry, it's a scam. It is impossible to win a lottery if you did not buy a ticket. There is no such thing as a lottery of email addresses or Yahoo! messenger accounts. Yahoo! doesn't run a lottery -- see the link below for a lot more info on Yahoo Lottery scam emails...

And notice this bit? "For security reasons, we advice all winners to keep this information confidential from the public until your claim is processed and your prize released to you." That's not to keep your "prize" safe -- it's so you wouldn't ask questions of your friends (or Yahoo! Answers) and find out this is just an elaborate trick to steal your money.
Reply:Even i received the same two days back.

i was not believing it.. but yahoo's logo forced me believe.

and i sent them the details.

but now i m not going to do follow-ups with them as i knew its a complete spam.
Reply:Someone else won this about an hour ago. Send them your money and give them your bank account number. They will send you your "Sign".

Reply:dude this is spam , no one else has received it

ignore it and forward it to yahoo authorities who will take appropriate action
Reply:YES
Reply:I recieved same e-mail, but with diffrent amount of prize. I think they need your address and a copy of your driving licence or passport. Then they can order or buy expensive stuff for themselves and bills coming to your address !!! very simple !!!
Reply:Don't fall for it !!! it's a spam
Reply:try and use some common sense here

u dont know the exact recipient

u get a random message about a lottery and the mail demands personal info

u r instincts shud tell u it is a SCAM!!!!!!!
Reply:Hi Shamalika,

You have done a Good job by making this mail online..let me tell you that i have received exactly the same e-mail from yahoo from the same person Brian Hunt (PHD),today i got a confirmation of same that you are the lucky winner, but i could not believe this,i tried calling..no response..then i tried on google..have seen many spams..and yours was the one which was exactly in same format, same place, same person..so i am 101 % sure its a fake..don't try to give any personal details..they are fraud...
