In the original version of Yahoo Mail, I am able to view other Yahoo users' online status (yellow happy face = online; gray neutral face = offline) in an email. This applies to the Yahoo sender and Yahoo receiptent.
But this feature doesnt show up in the new version so I can't see whether a Yahoo user is online without signing into Yahoo Messenger which can be a pain. I can only see whether the Yahoo sender is online but not the Yahoo receipentents in the email.
Am I missing something?

Yes you can. Click on the e-mail from the person you want to see if they are online. The gray/yellow smiley should show up under the Subject on the upper-left hand.
Try it because it's there :)
