Can yahoo close your email account for violations on yahoo answers?

Can yahoo close your email account for violations on yahoo answers?
Nice how they don't even tell you what it's for! It's like a dictatorship!
Reply:no i had sum of my questions pulled, yahoo deemed them unsuitable but my email acct is still up an running.
Reply:sometimes it's unfair as you get violations for nothing.
Reply:No, not usually. They just ban you from the Answers site for awhile, or for good. But I wouldn't put anything past Yahoo nowadays.

Reply:Well yeah, it's all one account so if they terminate your account that's the whole thing gone.





On the ethicacy matter, think about it this way:


If you come over to my house and start acting in a way that I find offensive, I'll ask you to leave.


The Yahoo site is basically Mr. Yahoo's house. He's kind enough to let us all come in and play around, but he won't let us stay if we don't follow the rules.





Also, I've had quite a few questions and answers removed for being offensive in various ways, and I've never even been threatened with account termination, so you'd probably have to do something fairly extreme to acctually be deleted.
Reply:Yes they can and have many times....
Reply:yep, your yahoo "account" is across all thier services and they coudl terminate all of your sevices if they so wish.





However, they tend to leave your email running if they close your Yahoo Answers questions/answers. They give you a chance to appeal ( not that they consider the appeal )
