Yahoo staff know something about Romania and Romanian Market? We can hope that someday we will have Yahoo.ro?

In Romania Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Messenger have a lot of users and a few companies like Vodafone already bought publicity from Yahoo and directed the publicity to Romanians users of Yahoo.

Also I know that a great romanian company named Neogen (web portal) has a few sites across Balkans, in Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Serbia, Muntenegru, Croatia, Bosnia %26amp; Hertegovina, Macedonia and Slovenia. I think this portal can be a great oportunity for Yahoo to be present in these small but interesting countries. Also I hope that the guys from Neogen can be convinced to accept a Yahoo offer.

I'm a dreamer... :), but I want a Yahoo.ro address :)

I totally agree with you that all people around the world should have a Yahoo service that is specific to their country or culture. If you want you can post a suggestion on the Yahoo Suggestion Board for Developing Networks and have anyone you know post and maybe they will consider enacting a Yahoo Romania. Heres the link to the board:

Reply:Indeed the romanians and all the peoples from eastern europe must have soon a Yahoo portal (based or not based to an existing one).

Yahoo we need you! :)
Reply:.ro is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Romania. It is administered by the National Institute for R%26amp;D in Informatics. As of May 2004, 64,000 domains were registered under the .ro domain.
Reply:Ya, me too!

I want a Yahoo.ro address, and also I think our brothers hungarians, bulgarians and others need also a Yahoo in their languages.

Thanks for asking this question!

I hope that someone from Yahoo already read it.

Good bye!
Reply:The answer to your question is simply "No". They don't know even were is placed Romania on the map (it is a north-African or middle-Asian country, for them, perhaps).

Why to come in Romania, in the middle of nowhere? :))
Reply:yahoo.ro? since when? i'm whaiting it too much long time...
Reply:I don't think this will happen too soon... even if I'd like an yahoo.ro too :)
Reply:That would be really great. I was actually thinking of the same thing some time ago. Congrats' for the initiative!
Reply:I'm sure that with the size of the potential market in Romania, it won't be long before the big internet giants move in, Yahoo included.

Until then, patience my friend!
