Yahoo mail account is suddenly forwarding to another email (non-yahoo) account? Please make it STOP!?

I have a basic free yahoo email account that I have been using almost exclusively for online purchase and message boards for years without problem . The past two days, it appears that yahoo account's email messages are being automatically forward to another non-yahoo email account that I maintain (I am quite perplexed as to how someone/yahoo linked these two email addresses). The email appearing in my non-yahoo email inbox is clearly addressed to my yahoo account email and is not labeled a "FWD" in the message subject box.

I do not recall turning on automatic forwarding in yahoo, and when I click on the forward options button in yahoo to check out my preferences, it will not let me into that option. It only says that service is not available for purchase.

Any ideas what is going on?

I don't know either, but mine is doing it too. Mine is trying to forward to an old defunct email for an internet provider I no longer use. I sent support an email with the bounced message. I'll post when I get a human response.

screw waiting on tech support! I found a fix. Since Mail Plus has a 30 day free trial I went ahead and subscribed to be able to access the forwarding settings. It seems that those of us who used it back when it was free are the ones affected, hence why my hubby's email was fine. Instead of clicking on the forwarding under Options, look to the right and click to subscribe to Mail Plus. I subcribed, then simply turned it off under Options. Voila! Now I can unsubscribe. Pass this fix on!!!
Reply:It happened to me as well. I have exchanged e-mail and reported problem to yahoo during past several days, nothing is fixed. Now I start to wonder the error is another "marketing trick" that yahoo try to get more people to use paid service. If it is true, I think this is very stupid. Because after using yahoo as my only consolidated email address for 10 years, I am going to switch to gmail or hotmail.
