OK so I have these two friends from Germany and Singapore, respectively. For the past three days they've been complaining through IM about something about the Yahoo! US home page. Here's what happens:
1.Their browsers are Firefox, and their homepage is set to "http://www.yahoo.com"
2.So when they open up their browsers, the version of Yahoo! they see is their local versions, with a prompt that is on top with two options "Stay on Yahoo! Germany/Singapore" and "go back to yahoo.com."
3. They select the latter and now they click the home button to test it out, but it goes back to their local Yahoos.
They were able to fix it back to US Yahoo! on the first day, but it seems to have happened again today. They seem really pissed about this, so can someone please help me with this? 'Cause you see, weird as they can get, they don't like local Yahoo!s they only like the US Yahoo!. Any help from a person from a foreign country using Yahoo! would be nice. Thanks!
Yahoo! home page?
To set to home page they want.have them get on the page they prefer. Then click on tools,Internet options.Click on general tab there click on use current page. It's just under the slot that has home page in it.Then click on apply,OK.Should stay on that page from now on.At least it will here in the states. Not sure how it may work overseas.
